Here is a collection of Bible verses to be used for meditating on the nature of God and are listed in no particular order. This is not a justification of this particular attribute of God. The verses listed below are not all of the verses in the Bible declaring His omniscience. This is meant for personal meditation on the attributes of God and was developed with that focus in mind. Here, we focus on the omniscience of God.
Scripture on the Omniscience of God
1 John 3:20 For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.
Ps. 94:10-11 He who teaches man knowledge-the Lord-knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
Ps. 139:2-4 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
Ps. 139:15-16 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Is. 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying “My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.”
Is. 40:13-14 Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
Job 37:16 Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
Heb. 4:13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Ps. 44:21 Would not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
Job 21:22 Will any teach God knowledge, seeing that he judges those who are on high?
Ps. 33:13-15 The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes their deeds.
Rom. 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
Is. 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
Ps. 147:4-5 He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding is beyond measure.
